Goa, July 15 -- The Bombay High Court at Goa has dismissed a petition filed by Rupa Jitendra Deshprabhu, wife of former MLA Jitendra Deshprabhu, in connection with a long-standing property dispute. The court also imposed a cost of Rs.20,000 on her, stating that the plea was a clear attempt to delay the execution of an eviction decree passed as far back as 2009.
In a strong observation, the High Court criticized the petition as lacking merit and being strategically filed to stall the legal process. It emphasized that justice cannot be denied to the decree-holder through deliberate litigation tactics.
