The North Goa Collectorate office was evacuated on Friday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat via its official email, which was later confirmed to be a hoax.
Emergency protocols were promptly activated, with police and bomb disposal squads conducting a thorough search of the premises.
North Goa Collector Yashaswini B confirmed the sequence of events, stating, "We received the threat at around 11.30 am stating that one of our additional collectors is under threat of bomb. We intimated police and also bomb squad who came to the site immediately and checked the premises thoroughly and gave us go ahead to operate."
