Goa, June 4 -- The Blue Cab taxi stand counters at Mopa Manohar International Airport have been closed for the last two months, causing inconvenience to both travelers and taxi operators. The closure is reportedly due to the lack of security clearance at the GMR-operated airport premises.
Despite the counters being shut, Blue Cap taxis continue to operate outside all airports, serving passengers informally. Taxi business representatives held a press conference warning authorities that they will initiate further action if the counters are not reopened within two days.
The taxi operators stress the need for a formal and secure point of service within the airport to ensure smooth and regulated passenger transport.
