Goa, Jan. 6 -- A black panther was found dead near the Sonaulim Temple inside the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, with preliminary suspicion that the animal may have died due to an electric shock from a nearby transformer.

Forest officials arrived at the site and recovered the carcass for further examination and necessary formalities. An inquiry is expected to determine the exact cause of death.
