Goa, Dec. 4 -- A 49-year-old woman from Karapur-Khotiwada, Bicholim, tragically lost her life on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a fatal electric shock at her home. Police identified her as Vasanti, who was discovered collapsed near the back door around 12:58 pm. Investigations led by PSI Krishna Gawas revealed that an insulated wire had been extended from a room to the kitchen shed to power a bulb. Continuous friction from a tightly fitted metal door had worn out the insulation, exposing the live wire. When Vasanti attempted to open the door, the metal became electrified, delivering a fatal shock. A Junior Engineer later confirmed the electrical fault. She was declared dead at CHC Bicholim, and police have begun further investigation....
