India, Nov. 19 -- A woman identified as Chitrakala was brutally attacked in broad daylight in Bengaluru's Kodigehalli area, an assault captured on CCTV that has prompted police action against five people.

According to her complaint, neighbour Pavan Kumar-who is constructing a building adjacent to her home-launched the attack after she objected to his workers drilling into her compound wall. CCTV visuals show Pavan dragging her by the hair, kicking her repeatedly, and hitting her with a rod.

The FIR names Pavan, his parents Rajendra and Padmavathi, his wife Bhaghya, and another woman, Monica. During the assault, Rajendra allegedly threatened to throw acid on Chitrakala, while the others abused her and joined in the attack.
