Goa, Aug. 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro Phase-2 project on Sunday. This new line stretches from RV Road in South Bengaluru to Bommasandra in the east.
The Bengaluru Metro is operated and maintained by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka.
The Phase-2 corridor covers over 19 km with 16 stations and was built at a cost of approximately Rs.7,160 crore. Along with the inauguration, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project.
Earlier today, PM Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru.
