Goa, March 26 -- Babush Monserrate has stated that the Alvara land title, granted by the Portuguese government, does not provide complete rights to the landholders. He mentioned that there is an issue regarding payment, which has complicated matters. Monserrate further explained that transferring the Alvara land to the name of the cultivator requires documents proving that the land has been cultivated by them and their ancestors.

These documents are essential for the authorities to address land ownership issues. He also noted that the Deputy Collector, working alongside the land survey department, has already collected some information related to this matter.
