Goa, April 28 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a legal notice to The Grade Cricketer, an Australian podcast hosted by Sam Perry and Ian Higgins, over the unauthorized use of IPL 2025 logos and images in their videos. The BCCI objected to the use of IPL logos and still photographs in the podcast's content, classifying their usage as "commercial" rather than "editorial" because the videos were sponsored by an Indian grocery platform and included branded elements.

Hundreds of videos covering IPL 2025, including their daily show The Big IPL Breakfast, were taken down. The show may need to rebrand to avoid further legal issues.
