Goa, June 14 -- Last week, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant admitted what everybody was aware of, that due to the rise in COVID-19 cases not just in Goa but across the nation, and the long lockdown since March 2020 with the various restrictions economic activity across all sectors was affected leading to a fall in the State revenue collection. He went on to say that the trend that has started is expected to continue and hence it was necessary to maintain 'fiscal prudence and discipline' in government spending.
