Goa, July 25 -- A recent development in the Goa Legislative Assembly has brought clarity to procedural questions involving the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department. Despite objections from TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane, who had cited the sub judice status of certain matters to avoid responding, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has permitted both starred and unstarred questions to proceed.
This ruling establishes that Assembly questions can be admitted and addressed even when related matters are under judicial consideration, ensuring that legislative scrutiny continues without compromising ongoing legal processes.
