Goa, Nov. 18 -- A major armed dacoity was reported in Baina late on Friday night after seven men, armed with weapons and iron rods, stormed an apartment on the seventh floor of the Chamundi Arcade building. The attackers targeted the residence of Sagar Nayak, leaving him seriously injured.

Nayak was rushed to the hospital following the assault. His wife and daughter also sustained injuries in the attack, police officials confirmed.

The armed group reportedly fled the scene with gold ornaments and cash, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. South Goa Superintendent of Police, the DySP, and teams from multiple police stations reached the spot and are currently conducting search and investigation operations.
