Goa, Jan. 1 -- The Department of Town and Country Planning (TCP) has cancelled the provisional permission granted for a change of zone at Arambol, following concerns raised by local residents. Announcing the decision, Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Vishwajit Rane said that residents of Arambol had met him and expressed their objections, after which the issue was carefully reviewed.

"The matter was examined in detail and the decision was taken in the interest of the people," he stated, assuring both Arambol and Pernem residents that their sentiments would always be respected.
