Opposition panchas from the Aquem-Baixo village panchayat voted out Sarpanch Florinho 'Danny' Fernandes after a no-confidence motion was tabled against him. At a special meeting, from the eight panchas who were present, five panchas voted in favor of the motion, while three panchas opposed it, hoping to allow Florinho to continue in his position.

The no-confidence motion was initiated by a group of five panchas-Inacio Dias, Pooja Naik, Avinash Sardessai, Natasha Dias, and Amisha Tile.
