Goa, Dec. 5 -- The Deputy Director of Panchayats has dismissed an appeal challenging the Tiswadi Block Development Officer's order directing the Village Panchayat of Chimbel to issue a construction licence to the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) for the proposed Unity Mall project.

With the appeal rejected, the BDO's directive stands, paving the way for GTDC to move forward with obtaining the necessary permissions for construction. The decision marks a significant step in the progression of the Unity Mall project, which has been pending due to administrative objections.
