Goa, Dec. 29 -- Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar appeared before Anjuna police for questioning in connection with the Birch nightclub fire case. During the inquiry, Amonkar told investigators that he has owned the property since 1994 and had operated it as a hotel for nearly a decade. He further stated that a later agreement to sell the property to Khosla was cancelled after he allegedly discovered forgery in the documents. Amonkar also claimed that he had previously alerted the authorities about issues related to the premises and maintained that timely action could have prevented the fire incident.
