India, Feb. 22 -- In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, the Anti Narcotic Cell (ANC) seized hydroponic ganja worth 7.84 lakh in Mapusa. The raid was carried out between 3.15 pm and 5.30 pm at the parking area of Mapusa Yard (back gate side). During the operation, ANC officers apprehended a 25-year-old man allegedly found in illegal possession of 224 grams of suspected hydroponic ganja.

Police also seized cash amounting to 8,000 and an Aprilia scooter from the accused. He was later produced before the JMFC Court and remanded to eight days of police custody. The investigation is being led by PSI Saheen Shetye under the supervision of PI Sagun Sawant and SP Nerlon, with overall supervision by SP ANC Sunita Sawant.
