Goa, March 8 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday called upon Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin to consider the introduction of medical and engineering courses in the Tamil language within the state. Shah's remarks were made in response to Stalin's criticisms of the central government regarding the perceived "imposition of Hindi" as part of the three-language policy, which Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has emphasized must be adopted by Tamil Nadu in order to secure Rs 2,152 crore in educational funding.
