Goa, Aug. 16 -- An attempted theft at the Shri Dev Vetal Temple in Alorna, Goa, has sparked concern among local residents and devotees regarding the safety and security of religious sites in the region. Between the night of August 14 and the early hours of August 15, 2025, an unidentified individual allegedly tried to break into the temple by forcefully breaking the iron locks on the main door.
The incident came to light when temple authorities arrived in the morning and noticed that the locks had been severely damaged.
