India, Feb. 1 -- A video of late NCP leader Ajit Pawar criticizing political rush after a death is gaining attention. Shared by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, the clip shows Pawar condemning discussions of elections and succession immediately after BJP leader Girish Bapat's death. He expressed frustration that political ambitions were prioritized over human sensitivity, noting even Bapat's ashes hadn't been immersed when conversations began. Pawar questioned the urgency of elections, urging leaders to show respect and patience during mourning. "If something happens in your house or mine, we stay silent for 13-14 days. Why the hurry to put up posters or talk about positions? Have we forgotten humanity?" he asked in Marathi in 2023.
