PANJIM, Dec. 12 -- Ajay Gupta, the third partner of the fire-ravaged Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in North Goa, was pro duced before the Ju dicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Mapusa on Thursday and remanded to seven days of police custody for further investiga tion into the deadly fire. Gupta, who was ar rested in Delhi and brought to Goa on Wednesday night fol lowing the issuance of a Look Out Circular (LOC), maintained that he had no involvement in the club's operations. As he was escorted from the court premises, he told re porters, "I was a sleeping partner. I had no role in opera tions. I don't know anything."
