Goa, Sept. 5 -- The pilot of an Air India Express flight bound for Indore from Delhi issued a "PAN-PAN" call on Friday after one of the aircraft's engines developed a technical snag mid-air. The alert, which signals urgency but not a life-threatening emergency, prompted Air Traffic Control to arrange fire and medical support at Indore airport.

The Boeing aircraft, carrying 161 passengers, landed safely at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport at 9:55 am, around 20 minutes behind schedule. Airport director Vipinkant Seth said all safety protocols were followed.
