Goa, Nov. 4 -- Agriculture Department officials on Monday inspected rain-affected fields in Velsao to assess crop damage caused by recent heavy showers.

During the visit, the officers interacted with local farmers, guided them on filling out compensation forms, and assured that the relief funds would be disbursed by December.

Officials said that detailed reports of the damage are being prepared to facilitate timely assistance under the state's agricultural relief scheme. The department has urged farmers to submit all required documents promptly to ensure smooth processing of claims.
