Goa, May 8 -- Saudi Arabia's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, arrived in New Delhi on an unannounced visit just hours after India launched Operation Sindoor, airstrikes targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The sudden visit came amid growing regional tension and international concern.

On Thursday, 8 May, Al-Jubeir held discussions with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The focus of the meeting was de-escalation between India and Pakistan following the strikes. Jaishankar later described the talks as "good" and said he shared "India's perspectives on firmly countering terrorism."
