Goa, Dec. 16 -- Student organisations ABVP and NSUI staged a protest on campus after the Executive Committee elections of Goa University were postponed at the last moment, triggering strong reactions from student bodies.

Both organisations alleged that the postponement was wrongly linked to the model code of conduct, arguing that there was no valid reason to delay the elections. They claimed the decision had caused confusion and dissatisfaction among students who were prepared to participate in the electoral process.
