Goa, March 5 -- Maharashtra Samajwadi Party leader and MLA Abu Azmi faced suspension for the entire 2025 Maharashtra budget session on Wednesday due to his remarks about Aurangzeb. The resolution for his suspension was put forward by Maharashtra minister Chandrakant Patil, who claimed that Azmi's comments in support of Aurangzeb were disrespectful to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and undermined the dignity of the House.
