MAPUSA, May 23 -- ABC Arambol SC defeated Xetrapal SC by 2-0 margin to enter the finals of the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup 2024, played at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, Anjuna, here, on Wednesday.

ABC Arambol went into the breather with a goal cushion, 1-0. Cypriano Rodrigues drew the first blood in the 28th minute, when his header off a corner entered the goal, 1-0.

On resumption of play, both the team played fast paced match and in the 46th minute Cypriano Rodrigues netted his brace from an assist by Sylvester, 2-0.

In the 59th minute, Oxel player was brought down by the Arambol's defender and the referee pointed to the dreaded spot. But Mayuresh shot skywards.

ABC Arambol goalkeeper Dietmar Fernandes was adjudged the player of the match.
