Goa, Oct. 7 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Amit Palekar on Monday alleged that Congress rejected working with AAP in South Goa despite his efforts to secure an alliance. Palekar claimed he had convinced his party to support the alliance and helped Congress secure Captain Viriato's win.

He added that Congress leaders, including the party president, remained silent on the matter, even during issues like the Rama Kankornkar controversy. Palekar also noted that during the election, Congress leaders and MLAs, including Thakre, had praised AAP's efforts and support for the alliance, questioning whether that appreciation had been genuine or merely for show.
