Goa, Sept. 12 -- AAP MLA Cruz Silva has written to the South Goa Superintendent of Police, calling for stringent measures to curb the drug menace in educational institutions. His letter comes in the wake of the recent death of a student at BITS Pilani, Goa-the fifth such incident within a year.

Silva has demanded a thorough investigation into drug supply chains near campuses, sustained enforcement drives, increased police presence in vulnerable areas, and the establishment of safe reporting channels for students. He emphasized that repeated incidents have shaken public confidence and stressed the urgent need to protect the state's youth.
