Goa, Dec. 10 -- The Aam Aadmi Party's Colva Zilla Panchayat candidate has formally filed an objection against rival candidate Nelly Rodrigues, alleging that she is disqualified from contesting the polls due to holding an office of profit under the Goa government.According to AAP, Nelly Rodrigues currently serves as the Administrator of the Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan (GPMSA)-a post appointed and supervised by the BJP-led government. The party argues that this position constitutes an office of profit, making her ineligible under the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, which prohibits individuals holding such offices from contesting Zilla Panchayat elections.
