Goa, May 31 -- Ten days after a tense face-off in Odxel between Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Cecille Rodrigues and Francis Coelho, the AAP has raised serious concerns over police inaction. The incident took place amid growing public anger over severe flooding in the area, which locals blame on unchecked hill cutting. When AAP leaders visited the site to assess the situation, they were confronted by the MLA and her supporters. Rodrigues later alleged that Monserrate used abusive language and physically pushed her, prompting AAP to file a counter-complaint the same day.
