Goa, Nov. 30 -- Around 90,000 voter names are set to be removed in the first draft of the electoral roll, according to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) IAS Sanjay Goel. These deletions result from the SIR process, which identified entries marked as deceased, shifted, absent, or duplicated during enumeration. The CEO stated that this cleanup aims to ensure greater accuracy and integrity in the voter database. Once the draft roll is released, voters will have the opportunity to review their details and request corrections if any discrepancies are found. This step is part of the ongoing effort to maintain a reliable electoral record.
