Goa, Jan. 12 -- Assurance Committee Chairman Reginaldo Lourenco on Monday said that the Goa government has fulfilled nearly 70 per cent of the assurances made on the floor of the Goa Legislative Assembly so far, reflecting steady progress in implementing commitments given to legislators.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Assembly proceedings, Lourenco noted that efforts are ongoing to ensure that the remaining assurances are also addressed in a time-bound manner.
Meanwhile, Minister Subhash Shirodkar firmly dismissed speculation about the possibility of early Assembly elections in Goa. He stated that the next state elections are scheduled for March 2027 and will be held strictly as per the constitutional timeline.
