Goa, April 16 -- An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 struck Afghanistan today, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The tremors were felt in several parts of India, including the Delhi-NCR region, causing some unease among residents. Not long ago, on February 17, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Delhi-NCR. As reported by the EMSC, the recent quake struck the Hindu Kush region. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 121 km (75 miles), with the epicenter 164 km east of Baghlan. Initially, the earthquake was reported as having a magnitude of 6.4 but was later revised to 5.6. There were no immediate reports of major damage or casualties.
