Goa, Dec. 21 -- A 23-year-old youth sustained serious injuries after being allegedly assaulted by three persons at Gaondongrim in Canacona. Police said the attack took place on Monday, during which the assailants reportedly used a koita and other hard objects. The injured youth was immediately rushed to Goa Medical College for treatment, where he is currently undergoing medical care. Police have taken cognisance of the incident and have begun an investigation to ascertain the motive behind the attack. Efforts are on to identify and trace the accused involved in the assault.
