Goa, Dec. 15 -- At least 15 people were killed and 42 others injured in a terror attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney after two assailants, identified as a father and son, opened fire during a Jewish community event, authorities said.
The attack triggered panic along the popular beachfront before bystanders and police intervened. One of the shooters was shot dead, while the second was overpowered, disarmed, and taken into police custody.
In a display of bravery, Ahmed al Ahmed, a local fruit seller, reportedly tackled one of the attackers and helped prevent further casualties by disarming him before police arrived.
