Goa, June 25 -- A case of kidnapping has been registered at Bicholim Police Station after a 13-year-old girl, originally from Jharkhand, went missing from Ladfem-Latambarcem on Sunday afternoon. The minor was last seen around 3:00 PM on June 22, 2025.

According to police, the girl's father lodged a formal complaint on Tuesday morning, stating that his daughter had disappeared without any known reason and is suspected to have been taken by an unidentified person without the family's consent.

The case has been registered under Crime No. 82/2025, invoking Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and Section 8 of the Goa Children's Act, 2003. Police suspect that the child may have been taken to an undisclosed location.
