Goa, Dec. 18 -- Emergency healthcare services in Mandrem came under sharp criticism after a 108 ambulance reportedly broke down while responding to an accident, leaving an injured patient without timely medical assistance. The incident has raised serious concerns about the condition and reliability of emergency response systems in the taluka.
According to sources, the ambulance was called to attend to an accident victim but suffered a mechanical failure, resulting in a significant delay in treatment. With no immediate alternative available, the injured person was eventually shifted to a hospital in a private vehicle.
