Goa, Sept. 15 -- Authorities at the Mollem check post intercepted two Karnataka-registered vehicles and seized 1,310 kg of non-compliant dressed chicken valued at around Rs.1.3 lakh.

Officials confirmed that the seized stock did not meet regulatory norms and was subsequently destroyed.

The action comes amid strict monitoring to curb the entry of substandard poultry products into the state.
