Goa, Sept. 14 -- The India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 clash in Dubai has sparked a political storm in Maharashtra. BJP minister Nitesh Rane on Saturday took a sharp swipe at Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, mocking him amid the controversy over Uddhav Thackeray's objection to the match.

Speaking to reporters, Rane claimed Aaditya would "secretly watch the India-Pakistan match in a burqa" and even alleged he would "shout slogans of Pakistan Zindabad." He further ridiculed Uddhav Sena MP Sanjay Raut, saying he would be "selling tickets in black at Marine Drive."
