Goa, July 22 -- In a fiery speech during the Assembly session, MLA Venzy Viegas lashed out at the state government, accusing it of repeatedly delaying action on key public issues and misleading citizens with empty promises.

"This government is all about 'tarikh pe tarikh' (date after date). Whether it's the Finance Commission recommendations, the CAG report, pothole-ridden roads, or the lack of textbooks in schools, all we get from this government is delay after delay," said Viegas.

Slamming the government's inaction, the MLA added, "Because of this 'tarikh pe tarikh' attitude, we Goenkars (Goans) have become 'barik' (thin/worn out). We're fed up."
