Goa, Dec. 23 -- Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has asked BJP's Corlim ZP candidate Siddesh Naik to refrain from insulting "Shreefal" (coconut), reacting to Naik's victory celebrations in which coconuts were broken. Sardesai said Naik may have acted out of excitement, but claimed the act reflected anger towards a symbol associated with his party. He alleged that such actions showed the BJP candidate was politically impacted by them. Sardesai urged Naik to show restraint in the future and respect cultural symbols.
