Dubai, April 8 -- Emirati jewellery designer, Azza Al Qubaisi, will bring simple and traditional cuttlefish silver casting workshop on Saturday April 13 in Heart of Sharjah.
The workshop commences from 10:00 a.m. will be a perfect opportunity for aspiring artisans and jewellery designers to design and cast their own creations in silver. Qubaisi will bring in themes of sustainability and heritage by utilising materials from the local environment. She will assist participants in their exploration of the creation of a mould using cuttlefish shell, a material long prized by the jewellery-making industry for its capability to withstand high temperatures and the ease of carving on it.
