Dubai, April 10 -- An exhibition that blends modern motifs with ancient Arabian elements will grace the walls of COYA Abu Dhabi this month.
Najoua Ajjour combines traditional materials such as ceramics, coffee and sand with more modern, eclectic matter including body paint and umbrellas to draw connections between disparate places and people.
The French-born artist, whose family hails from the ancient Moroccan city of Fez, will reveal her newest work at COYA Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, April 28 at 7:00pm.
"Ajjour's work features elements of pop art with a distinctly Arabic twist," said Stefano Pizzini, General Manager of COYA Abu Dhabi.
