Dehradun, Dec. 31 -- The famous folk singer of Uttarakhand, Narendra Singh Negi paid obeisance at the Guru Ram Rai Darbar, here, today. He reached the Darbar Sahib this morning and met the Mahant, Devendra Dass. During the meeting, the two discussed in detail, language, its conservation and enrichment.
It's worth mentioning that the Delhi Government is working on the conservation of folk languages. The Government of Uttarakhand is also moving forward on publicising, creating awareness on and enrichment of Garhwali, Kumaoni and other folk languages. Under this mission, the Language and Culture Department of Shri Guru Ram Rai University is going to work on conserving the folk languages.
