Dehradun, Nov. 1 -- An eight week ITEC Training programme on Petroleum Refining Technology and Petrochemicals (during 28 October 28 to 20 December) was inaugurated at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum, here. About 15 foreign government officials mainly from African countries such as Ethiopia, Niger, Tanzania, Ghana, Madagascar, Sudan, Egypt, as well as Columbia are participating in the training programme. The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme was instituted on 15 September, 1964, as a bilateral cooperation programme of assistance by the Government of India with partner developing countries.
