Opposition candidate in the Montserrado County District 15 by-election Telia Urey is reportedly being held hostage in a building in Logan Town.
She was attacked by some unknown people believed to be supporters of her main contender, Abu Kamara of the ruling party.
A video circulating on Facebook shows her smashed vehicle escaping a mob and suddenly lost control and ran into a wall. FrontPageAfrica has not been able to confirm yet if there was a driver or passengers on the vehicle.
Telia is reportedly hidding in a building and there are reports of the mob threatening to burn down the building.
