Liberia: Over 35 Aging People Benefits from Medical Checkups as Gesture of Word of Life International
MONROVIA, April 11 -- A faith-based institution Word of Life International (WOLI) has ended an intensive medical check-up for over thirty-five (35) aging people within Paynesville.
The elderly people were procedure through basic medical examinations including obesity screening, Hypertension or high blood pressure, and Malaria.
Speaking at the church compound in Paynesville, the program focal person Rebecca Nyamndo explained that WOLI is concerned about the well-being of the elderly and that there is a need for more attention to be directed to them instead of society looking down on aging people.
"We aim to see how older people from 60 years and above can be taken care of so they cannot be discriminated against," she said.
