Monrovia, Aug. 16 -- Nearly 500 Indians living and working in Liberia, along with some Liberian friends, gathered Thursday, August 15, at the "Indian House" in the Diplomatic enclave of Mamba Point, to join their other countrymen and women around the world to commemorate their nation's 73 rd independence anniversary.

The Indians began this very important day of theirs with the hoisting of their flag and the singing of their national anthem.

The anthem was led by the students of the Indian

Community-run AWARE International School.
