Sri Lanka, June 25 -- The US Department of State has updated its travel advisory to Sri Lanka by lowering the threat level allowing US citizens to undertake travel but to remain cautious due to the threat of terrorism.

"On June 24, 2019, the Department lifted the ordered departure status of family members of U.S. government employees under the age of 18 as well as the authorized departure status of non-emergency U.S. government employees and family members," a notice on the website stated.
